Located on a former school surplus site at 2008 – 105 Street NW, in the Keheewin neighbourhood, Kaskitêw Asiskî is a thoughtfully designed, mixed income affordable housing development bringing 132 much-needed new homes to south Edmonton.

About the Development

Kaskitêw Asiskî  represents a bold step forward in creating housing that is inclusive, sustainable, and deeply rooted in community.

To be fully owned and professionally managed by Civida, the development is a collaboration between Civida and the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations, with 66 affordable housing suites, half of all homes, dedicated to house Treaty Six Nation members.

Designed by award-winning local firm Reimagine Architects, the development blends seamlessly into the neighbourhood, and protects shared community spaces. To be constructed by Graham Construction, the complex aligns with City of Edmonton zoning and design guidelines, approved in January 2020.

Civida and the City of Edmonton have led ongoing engagement with neighbourhood residents to ensure the project reflects community values and input. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, Kaskitêw Asiskî will create lasting benefits for residents, and the broader community.
