What living in Community Housing means for you.

Civida provides approximately 4,500 homes in the Community Housing program. In this subsidized housing program, tenants pay an affordable rent amount, either 30 per cent of their adjusted gross monthly household income or the core shelter rates if they are receiving Income Support.

Community Housing is located throughout the City of Edmonton and most of our homes are located near public parks, schools and public transit routes. We have a variety of housing types, including townhouses and multi-unit apartments. Some of our buildings also have Community Centres located on the property which provide services to both tenants and the wider community.

Community Housing is governed by the Social Housing Accommodation Regulation and Housing Accommodation Tenancies Regulation in addition to the Residential Tenancies Act and its regulations.
